The Jenny M. Downs-Wilson Memorial Scholarship

Jenny M. Downs-Wilson (1975-2025) was a staff employee of Westmoreland County Community College, an exceptional musical performer, and a middle school teacher of English, Science, Social Studies and Math who saw great success in increasing literacy and reading levels throughout her service in northern West Virginia. To be eligible for this scholarship a student must have completed at least 12 credit hours as an Early Childhood Education major, and have a 3.0 cumulative GPA at Westmoreland County Community College. The selection of the recipient must be decided by the Dean of School of Art, HUmanities, Social Services & Public Service.
