Mary Ellen Ridilla Memorial Nursing Scholarship

Mary Ellen Ridilla was a graduate of Latrobe High School who obtained her nursing degree from Westmoreland County Community College after her three children started elementary school. She went on to have a 20 year career as a hospice nurse, followed by several years as a nursing home administrator. She worked through night classes to advance her education with a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Carlow. She died of pancreatic cancer in June 2023, and is lovingly remember by her husband, three children and seven grandchildren.
