Gene and Trudy Ciafre Scholarship

Gene Ciafre has served on the College Board for 30 years and has also been a dedicated member of the Foundation Board for many years. Through Trudy’s work with Westmoreland County Government, both Gene and Trudy have seen firsthand the positive impact Westmoreland County Community College has on students who are striving to pursue higher education and prepare for meaningful career opportunities.
This mission is even more critical today as the job market continues to evolve and artificial intelligence becomes part of the workforce. The College plays a vital role in helping students identify their strengths and areas for growth through the guidance of counselors and faculty, ensuring they are placed on the right career path for long-term success.
