Iva Jones King Memorial Scholarship

The Iva Jones King Memorial Nursing Scholarship is an endowed scholarship fund established by Priscilla King Hogan and her husband Ed, in memory of her mother. Iva Jones King was a graduate of Connellsville High School and received her degree in nursing from Philadelphia General Hospital School of Nursing on April 30, 1921. She married Dr. Arthur H. King on November 26, 1924 and worked by his side in the community of West Newton for 45 years. Iva devoted her entire life to her family and the profession of nursing. It is the Hogan Family’s wish that this scholarship will inspire Westmoreland students to enter the nursing field.
