Dennis Beistel Memorial Scholarship

Dennis was a Journeyman Machinist for nearly 50 years at a local glass manufacturing plant. He began Beistel Machining in Donora, PA with his son in 2007. The company has grown to be highly successful, supporting many industries. Dennis’s passion for the trade was evident in his hobbies as well as his personal mentoring of many young men who worked at the shop. He was always willing to share his knowledge and took great pride in being a part of their increasing skill. He had often spoken of the need for High Schools to include machining in the trades curriculum, and would be honored that this Scholarship is offered in support of a future Machinist.

The Dennis Beistel Memorial Scholarship recipient:
*Can be full-time or part-time students
*Must be in good academic standing and have a Cumulative GPA of at least 3.0
*Must be pursuing a credential in machining
*This scholarship can be used for books and fees
